Let's Get Ready (LGR) Volunteer Tutor Program

Let’s Get Ready (LGR) provides low-income high school students with free SAT preparation, admissions counseling, and other support services needed to gain admission to and graduate from college. Services are provided by volunteer college students (Coaches) who serve as tutors, mentors, and role models.

LGR is looking for motivated, dependable, enthusiastic, and committed college students to join their program by becoming Volunteer Coaches. Coaches teach a group of about five students either in math or verbal skills for the SAT and help them with their college applications. The time commitment would be one night per week on either Tuesdays (math) or Thursdays (writing/critical reading) from 4-7 p.m. at High School for Health Professions on 15th Street. The opportunity starts on October 1st and goes until December 8th. All coach applications should be submitted within the next two weeks (from around September 18th).

Any students that are interested can apply at the link below, by selecting the "NYU" program, and LGB will be in contact very soon.
