L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program- Latinas On the Verge of Excellence

The Latinas On the Verge of Excellence, L.O.V.E., Mentoring Program supports and empowers young Latinas to strive both in school and in life through positive role modeling. The program aims to increase high school graduation rates and college enrollment among young Latinas with the support of positive role models.

The L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program works in partnership with organizations and public schools whose mission is to enhance the well-being of young girls and Hispanic communities. Mentors (university female students) meet with their mentees (students referred from partner high schools) for one hour and a half every week. The mentoring sessions concentrate on developing study skills, providing college information and self-empowerment activities. You are invited to take a look at the website here: lovementoring.org

The L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program is currently preparing for its first fundraising event on Wednesday, May 6th. This event is in celebration of their graduating mentees, all of whom are planning to attend college in the fall. If you are interested in attending, the link to reserve tickets is located here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/give-love-make-a-difference-tickets-16364733358
